Plume Thinking is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any question about this policy, or to exercise your rights, write to privacy@plumethinking.com.
Through the beta waiting list form we collect only what you type into it:
We also keep a one-way, irreversible fingerprint of your email address and network address for a short period, purely to stop automated abuse of the form. It cannot be turned back into your details.
We use this data to assess your fit for the private beta and to contact you about it. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you tick the consent box. The anti-abuse fingerprints rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions with legal effects about you.
Your submission is stored in our managed database and is readable only by the small team running the beta. Our hosting and database providers process the data on our behalf under data-processing agreements, and may store it on servers inside and outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your waiting-list entry until the beta programme ends, until you ask us to delete it, or for at most 24 months after your last contact with us — whichever comes first. Anti-abuse fingerprints are removed after a short retention window.
Under the GDPR you can, at any time:
To exercise any of these, email privacy@plumethinking.com. We answer within one month.
